The Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management Programme (MSc-GSCM) at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) successfully hosted its 13th GSCM Leadership Talk, centered on the theme “Leading through Globalisation: Innovating Through Change: Challenges and Trends in International Cargo Express Services.” The academic event was co-organized by the Supply Chain Excellence and Innovation Centre (SEIC) and the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (HKIE) – Logistics and Transport Division, taking place on 31 March 2026 (Tuesday) at HSUHK’s Tsimshatsui Kaifong Association Academic Hall.

The seminar featured Mr. Calvin Mui, who offered expert perspectives on the volatile transformations and operational challenges within the international express logistics sector. Following his presentation, a high-level thematic dialogue ensued, co-moderated by Dr. Eugene Wong (Associate Professor, HSUHK) and Mr. Alan Lo (Lecturer, HSUHK). The panel delved into critical supply chain dynamics, including managing cross-border express networks amidst geopolitical and trade uncertainties, leveraging automated robotics and smart technology in logistics operations, and addressing corporate environmental responsibility through Scope 3 emissions reductions and renewable energy strategies.

Gathering an audience of over 80 industry practitioners, corporate guests, and university students, the event concluded with a highly interactive Q&A session, providing attendees with deep strategic benchmarks for modern global freight management.
