After successfully completing four scheduled study tours across multiple cities in the Greater Bay Area, the Chamber of Hong Kong Logistics Industry, the organizing body of the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Innovative Logistics Technology Collaboration Program,” held a summary conference and the “2019 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Logistics Technology and Urban Collaboration Forum” on November 5, 2019, at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.
The event featured speeches and remarks from distinguished guests, including Mr. Ken Chung, Chairman of the Chamber of Hong Kong Logistics Industry; Dr. Ng Chi Hung, Stephen, Head of the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong; Ms. Yi Lu Xia, President of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area College of Intelligent Cold-Chain Industries; Ms. Cheung Sze Wai, Senior Manager of Service Promotion at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council; and Mr. Chan Tsz-tat, Assistant Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Hong Kong Customs Service.
At the summary conference, the organizing body provided a detailed review and report on the project’s implementation and study tours over the past eight months. Several industry leaders were invited to deliver keynote presentations. The presentations focused on key themes, including the Greater Bay Area’s role in the Belt and Road Initiative, the development of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen logistics platform, 5G communication infrastructure, blockchain and big data technologies, and cold chain logistics. These discussions collectively explored the application and development of innovative technologies in the logistics industry. The detailed presentation topics are as shown in the table below.
