The 2018 Hong Kong Ecommerce Ecosystem Summit cum 4th Hong Kong Ecommerce Competition, organised by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the Alibaba.com Hong Kong Limited was successfully held on 9 October 2018 at the Cyberport. This event attracted over 200 SMEs and industrial experts participated.
This is the 4th consecutive years for this Ecommerce competition. Top 5 contestants have been selected after four semi-finals and competed for the championship in the Summit.
Mr. Victor Lam, JP, Government Chief Information Officer, Mr. Cheung, Manager of Alibaba.com (B2B, Taiwan and Hong Kong), Mr. Peter Yan, Chief Executive Officer, Cyberport Hong Kong and Mr. Jacky Cheung, President of Qupital Limited were invited to deliver the opening speeches.
Dr. Collin Wong, Director of the Policy Research Institute of Global Supply Chain was invited to be the keynote speaker and presented a topic related to the opportunities and threats of the cross-border e-commerce of SME in the Greater Bay Area (Presentation PowerPoint can refer HERE).
